Mobile microrobotic cleaner in microfluidics

Miniaturized mobile microrobots have opened new applications from biomedical to environmental fields. Among various types of microrobots, recent progress on highly performing planar type could offer a good compromise between the manufacturability and functionality promising for practical applications. The remaining challenges are guarantee their sustainable operations in unclean wet environments where most suffer being immobilized due increased risk surface stiction. Our proposed made thin-film metal layers with open able enhance robustness propulsion manipulation thanks multiple modes which can serve as fail-safe solution uncontrolled environments. We successfully demonstrated that they navigate clean functionalities. This will no doubt be other need similar level performance.
